7:00pm:  By popular demand, we’ll feature a discussion panel on Selling Yourself in Post Production.”  We’ve had quite a few requests from folks for this discussion on breaking into the business, setting up / what should be on your demo reel, and selling yourself as a freelancer.   Featuring a panel of Post Production managers and owners from around Atlanta, this is sure to be one of our most popular topics of the year.   Scheduled to be on the panel: Dan Daube (Turner Studios), Marc-Andre Furguson (Product Evangelist for Smoke), Craig Miller (Craig Miller Productions, Georgia Production Partnership), Jasenko Fazlagic (Founder/Partner Eclipse Post) and moderated by Walter Biscardi, Jr. (Biscardi Creative Media)

8:30pm: Member Showcase  We will screen three or four member submitted videos and give the artist a few min to describe the post process and take questions from the group. For submission information please email kris at atlantacutters(dot)com

8:45pm: Autodesk Smoke 2013.  You saw all the hype during NAB 2012, “Smoke is Changing.”   Well, change it did and we’re excited to welcome back Marc-André Ferguson to the ATL Cutters to show you firsthand how the new Smoke 2013 was designed for editors.   In addition to the changes in the interface, Smoke 2013 was designed around the Apple iMac meaning the days of requiring the “big iron” workstations for Smoke have come to an end.  Come see first how how Smoke 2013 is changing everything.

Directions to Turner Studios: 1000 Techwood Drive, Atlanta

Everybody should come to the main gate on Techwood Drive between 10th & 14th Streets. This is the main entrance using the 1000 Techwood Drive as your locator. You will be directed to visitor parking under the 1000 Building and then it’s a ride up the elevator and a short walk from there to the 1015 Building.
